When flying over large fields, slopes or behind tall tree lines, the signal between the drone and the controller can be blocked — causing display lag and the risk of signal loss. The DJI Relay Module is an accessory that extends signal range to keep a stable connection. As an authorized DJI Agriculture dealer in Vietnam, 115Drone explains what it does, how to install it, and what to watch for.
What is the Relay Module for?
It's a signal-relay module for Agras drones: it extends transmission distance, especially useful for large-scale operations on complex terrain. (Compatibility depends on the model and firmware — contact 115Drone to confirm for your drone.)
When should you use it?
- Slopes / Central Highlands: keep signal when flying over the far side of a hill or down into a valley.
- Large Mekong Delta fields: wide coverage with the controller far from the flight zone.
- Behind tall tree lines / obstacles: avoid display lag and dropped connections.
Install it right
- Pick a high, central spot in the operation area for the best coverage.
- Mount on a tripod (use a standard 5/8" screw); supply your own pole and base to suit the terrain.
- Place the module at least 2 m above the canopy you'll spray.
- Do not use during thunderstorms — safety first.
Flexible power
Use a PD-protocol power bank to keep the Relay charged through long days in the field, away from a power source.
